A prostrate form of Acacia that’s useful in extremely dry applications with little to no irrigation such as roadside plantings. As well as remaining green it will also provide weed-smothering ground cover and erosion control. Creeping branches of lanceolate, green-gray foliage bloom in winter and early spring with bright yellow puffball flowers. Tolerant of reflective heat and somewhat saline soils. Plant in full sun in almost any type of soil as long as it is well-draining. Needs little to no water once established but inland it performs best if watered deeply but infrequently. Should be given ample room to spread.
