‘Ray of Light’ is a striking variegated selection of Foxtail Agave that’s perfect for brightening up a shade garden. Leaves are typically green in the center with bands of creamy white along the margins, but coloring varies greatly from plant to plant. Leaves are sometimes streaked down the center as well as along the edges in colors ranging from cream to pale yellow to mint green. Features the same broad, flexible, outwardly curving foliage as its parent plant. Will eventually form a large, spreading colony of trunked rosettes. This grouping can reach up to 4 to 5 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet wide. Safe for easily-accessible gardens as it lacks spines or teeth along the edges of the leaves. Plant in part shade to bright shade inland to prevent scorching. Can be planted in full sun in coastal conditions. Does best in well-drained soil with regular or occasional water
