Aloe nobilis grows in spreading colonies of small, tight rosettes with triangular, bright green foliage. Leaves are dotted with sharp but flexible gold teeth and take on red and orange hues in hot, dry conditions. Blooms with numerous spikes of coral-pink flowers in summer. Growing just 1 to 2 feet high and wide, it is useful as a small scale groundcover or in containers. Can take full sun or some afternoon shade in hot, inland gardens.
