A mounding evergreen shrub densely covered with tiny, rounded, emerald green leaves, giving it a soft appearance. Similar in growth habit to ‘Centennial,’ ‘Starn’ is a patented male cultivar that doesn’t produce the flower debris or seedlings that its female counterpart does. Good for creating a lush-looking mass planting in dry landscapes and streetscapes. Also useful for slope stabilization and erosion control. Tolerant of extreme heat, reflective heat, high winds, and poor soil. Grows 3 to 4 feet tall and 3 to 5 feet wide. Plant in sharply-draining soil in full sun to light shade. Water occasionally to infrequently once established
