A thornless, upright Parkinsonia hybrid that’s the perfect focal point for a dry desert garden. In spring it bears delicate, doubly compound leaves and swarms of fragrant, lemon yellow flowers that attract bees and other insects. By summer, foliage and flowers drop off to reveal smooth green bark and sculptural branching structure. May bloom sporadically from spring to fall if given occasional water. Branches provide light shade throughout the year. Grows best in full sun. Water regularly when first planted and taper off to occasional water once established. May need to be staked when young to maintain desired form. Exceptionally fast growing in the correct conditions. We have both standard and low-branching forms available.
