A compact, clumping Echeveria with triangular, pointed foliage symmetrically arranged in a rosette that resembles a miniature Agave. Grass green to lime green leaves are flushed pink at the tips and end in a sharp, red point. Blooms late spring into summer with arching spikes of small pink flowers with yellow lips. Rosettes grow 4 to 6 inches wide and form a tight clump up to a foot wide. Prefers full sun to light shade inland. Plant in well-draining soil. Water occasionally and allow soil to dry out between waterings. The species is not to be confused with the variety ‘Lipstick’ which has distinctive waxy smears of red on its leaves.
