A compact, clumping Echeveria with triangular, pointed foliage symmetrically arranged in a tight rosette. Bright green leaves feature waxy smears of crimson red at the tips that bear a remarkable resemblance to lipstick marks. Leaves will flush red all the way to the base in hot, sunny conditions. Blooms in summer with arching spikes of small red flowers with yellow lips. Rosettes grow 8 to 12 inches wide and form a tight clump 1 to 2 feet wide. Plant in well-draining soil. Water occasionally and allow soil to dry out between waterings. This variety is not to be confused with the species which does not bear the same distinctive red marks on its leaves
