A hybrid of Echeveria colorata and Graptopetalum amethystinum, Echeveria ‘Opalina’ features rounded, fleshy leaves and gorgeous opalescent coloring. Leaves are very light blue and take on shades of pink and purple along the edges depending on sun exposure. Prefers part shade to part sun in hot inland gardens. Perfect for rock gardens, succulent gardens, or grown in containers. Blooms in spring with arching spikes of small yellow flowers with orange centers. Primary rosette will grow 5 to 6 inches wide and will produce multiple offsets to form a cluster 6 to 12 inches wide. Will eventually form a trunk but rosette can easily be cut and re-planted. Plant in well-draining soil. Water occasionally and allow soil to dry out between waterings. Synonymous with Graptoveria ‘Opalina.
