A hybrid of Echeveria gibbiflora 'Metallica' and Echeveria elegans, ‘Perle von Nurnberg’ is notable both for its beautiful foliage color and for its adaptability to different growing conditions. New leaves emerge pink in the center of the rosette and take on blue tones as they age and move to the outer edges, creating a multi-colored pink to purple to blue rosette. Blooms in summer with arching spikes of small pink flowers with yellow centers. Foliage color is most vivid in full sun but can be grown in a variety of light conditions, from full to part sun. Prefers to dry out between waterings but can tolerate regular water better than most Echeverias as long as the soil is well-draining. Perfect for rock gardens, succulent gardens, or grown in containers.
