A clumping, evergreen grass with silvery powder blue foliage that grows 8 to 12 inches tall and wide. ‘Beyond Blue’ retains its color and will not brown over the summer as many of the other F. glauca selections may do. In summer it blooms with feathery flower heads that age to a light wheat color. A good grass for poor to moderately fertile soil as long as it is well-drained. Prefers regular to occasional water. Tolerant of full sun, high heat, and high humidity. Beyond Blue holds a plant patent #23,307 and propagation without permission from the patent holder is prohibited.
