An evergreen, ornamental grass that grows in small, tight clumps of fine grey/blue foliage, just 6 to 12 inches all around. Blooms in summer with airy inflorescences that age to tan. Tolerant of poor, moderately-fertile, and dry soils as long as they are fast-draining. Can withstand high heat and drought but looks best if irrigated regularly. Grow in full sun to partial shade. It’s striking blue color makes it a great foliage accent in rock gardens and perennial beds and borders.
