Hesperaloe parviflora 'Perpa' P.P. # 21729 (Brakelights® Red Yucca). Developed by Mountain States Nursery. Flowers are a much darker, truer red than the species. Compact growth habit with a very long bloom season. In our experience, the selection is a little less vigorous and much slower growing than the species but the stunning flower color offsets its deficits. Unlicensed propagation of this plant is strictly prohibited. Due to its proprietary status, it is often exceptionally expensive and partly because of the expense, it has been subject to widespread illegal distribution in the industry. Legitimate plants will be accompanied by a patent tag.
