A shrubby, evergreen perennial native to Southern California coastal mountains and the Channel Islands. Blooms with light pink to lavender flowers in spring and fall. Fuzzy blue-green leaves add a soft texture to shade and woodland gardens. Attractive to bees and butterflies. Leaves are highly fragrant / pungent. Prefers soil with good moisture retention and is tolerant of clay. Requires fairly regular pruning to keep more tidy/compact.
