A garden-friendly cultivar of Creeping Wild Rye chosen for its blue-grey foliage and compact habit. A highly-adaptable evergreen clumping grass, it can be used in both large scale projects and residential gardens. Useful for erosion control on slopes, hillsides, and in bioswales. Can be mowed. Prefers loamy soil but will also grow in sand, clay, and alkaline soil. Drought tolerant but will tolerate regular irrigation and even seasonal flooding. Plant in full to part sun. Note that the nomenclature continues to go back and forth on this genus, alternating between Leymus and Elymus. At different times of the year, the foliage will be a typical green of the species. It does not retain a grey foliage color year round.
