A Mat Rush selection that forms dense mounds of thin, arching blue-grey foliage up to 3 feet wide. In summer, compact panicles of tiny, fragrant, yellow-orange flowers peak out from between the foliage. Selected for its tolerance of different growing conditions, ‘Pacific Sky’ can be planted in full sun to almost total shade. It tolerates a wide variety of soils - from sand to clay - as long as they are well-draining. Useful for dry spots under trees. Requires only infrequent to occasional water once established. Better root rot resistance than other L. confertifolia varieties. Excellent in mass plantings or spilling out of large containers.
