A Mimulus hybrid selected for its notable flower coloration, ‘Changling’ blooms late spring through summer with dusky rose colored flowers that fade to a light peach at the edges. Flower stalks can be lightly trimmed as flowers go by to keep the plant compact. Grows 2 to 3 feet tall and wide. Plant in sun to part shade inland. Prefers well-draining soil with regular to occasional water, but supplemental water over the summer should be avoided or at least minimized, especially in hot inland areas. It should be allowed to follow its natural cycle which includes a semi-dormant to dormant period in the summer. Prune lightly in early spring, leaving leaves below the pruning cuts. As a semi-evergreen shrub, it will not recover from hard pruning
