‘Huntington Carpet’ is a prostrate, ground cover form of rosemary that is perfect for cascading over walls or out of planters and is useful as an edible variety. In early spring, its deep green needles are covered in light lavender blue flowers that attract bees and other pollinators. Grows quickly 6 to 8 feet wide and has a denser, less woody growth habit than the similar ‘Prostratus.’ Prefers full sun and is drought tolerant once established. Also resistant to deer predation and tolerant of reflective heat and coastal conditions. Useful for erosion control on banks or slopes.
