A tough, versatile evergreen Salvia native to the Channel Islands, Salvia brandegeei naturally has a sprawling habit, although it can be kept compact if pruned when young. It’s fragrant foliage is dark green and deeply textured and in spring it blooms with whorls of lavender flowers on dark purple calyces. A great plant for pollinators. Tolerates a wide range of soils (provided they are well-draining) including sand and clay. Plant in full sun and water infrequently once established
