A variety of Purple Sage that features light pink-lavender flowers and grows into a large, spreading shrub, reaching 3 to 5 feet tall and 5 to 8 feet wide. It often grows even wider in coastal conditions and is great for covering sunny, bare slopes. Flowers bloom in spring on long inflorescences and attract hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies. Soft, deeply textured, silver-grey foliage is highly fragrant. Plant in full sun to light shade inland. Summer deciduous so it should be watered sparingly over the summer or left to go dormant. Provides erosion control on slopes where it can tolerate clay soil and will grow and cover quickly. Best planted from fall to early spring.
