The Heatwave™ Series was developed in Australia in response to the need for plant material that was suitable to handle drought conditions common in certain areas of that country. This series is a bit more compact and rounded than the parent species. A wide range of attractive flowers are now available as part of the series. Unfortunately, the names don't help much in describing the flower colors. Easy to maintain with a one to twice annual pruning to refresh and remove spent flowers. Removing spent flowers will prolong the bloom period and encourage regular reblooming throughout the growing season. Tolerant of a variety of growing conditions.
