With its lush, deeply-textured, dark green foliage and compact form, Salvia ‘Mystic Spires’ is perfect for filling perennial beds, borders, and containers. It is a dwarf selection of Salvia ‘Indigo Spires,’ growing just 2 to 3 feet tall and 1 to 2 feet wide. It blooms all through summer and fall with tall spikes of dark indigo blue flowers that are highly attractive to hummingbirds and butterflies. Deadhead flowers to promote more blooms and cut back to 8 to 12 inches in winter to maintain compact form. Prefers rich but well-draining soil and regular irrigation.
