A small, brightly-colored Agave that is a cheerful addition to xeric gardens, succulent gardens, and containers. Its thick, wavy leaves are blue-green in the center with a wide, bright yellow band along the edge. Featuring sharp, rust-colored teeth along the leaf margins, it’s best planted where it will be out of reach of people and pets. Slow growing, it will remain a single rosette for several years before eventually forming a small colony of offsets. Stays small at just 1 to 2 feet high and 2 to 3 feet wide. Rarely blooms. Prefers full sun to light shade inland. Plant in well-draining soil and water occasionally to infrequently.
