Commonly known as Climbing Aloe, Aloe ciliaris forms a woody basal trunk out of which grows 8 to 12 foot long branches covered in flexible bright green foliage. Variable in form, it can be grown as a mounding shrub, a vining ground cover that will root where it touches the ground, or as a climbing vine (with proper support). Leaves are recurved and lined with soft, white, hair-like teeth at the margins. Blooms with spikes of bright orange flowers with yellow interiors. One of the fastest growing Aloes and one that is easily propagated from offsets. Grow in full sun to light shade in well-draining soil.
