A variety of French Lavender that is similar in appearance to the species but easier to grow in a garden setting. Forms a wide, somewhat sprawling, evergreen shrub that reaches 2 to 3 feet high and 3 to 4 feet wide. Features soft, grey, toothed foliage and blooms almost year-round with short, thick spikes of fragrant, pale lavender flowers. Starts flowering in early spring and re-blooms sporadically throughout the year with occasional shearing. Intolerant of wet feet and susceptible to fungus if planted in poorly-draining soil. Performs best in less fertile, sharply-draining soil. Plant in full sun to light shade inland. Water only occasionally once established. Prune once a year to maintain rounded form. Flowers are not edible.
