A California native perennial with strappy grass-like foliage topped with bright yellow star-shaped flowers in spring. It forms a small clump that grows 8 to 12 inches tall. Native to moist areas along the coast, it is good for wet, poorly-drained areas and regularly watered gardens. Plant in full sun to light shade. May self-sow in the right conditions.
