A small, lemon-scented thyme with foliage that shifts from green in the warm seasons to green with splotches of yellow variegation in winter and early spring. It forms a small mat about 18 to 24 inches across. Blooms in summer with small spikes of lavender-pink flowers. Perfect for containers or in between stepping stones where it will tolerate moderate foot traffic. Plant in full sun to part shade in sharply-draining soil. The foliage on this variety is edible.
