A hybrid of Cistus monoseliensis and Cistus parviflorus, Pink Rockrose is tough, compact, evergreen shrub popular for its profuse light pink blooms and tolerance for tough growing conditions. In spring and early summer it’s covered in fuzzy, rose-colored buds that open to small, pale pink flowers with cheery yellow centers. May rebloom in fall if sheared in late summer. Narrow, lanceolate foliage is a soft grey-green. Tolerates poor soil, high heat, drought, and coastal conditions. A great flowering shrub for hot inland gardens and useful for erosion control on dry hillsides. Plant in full sun to light shade inland. Not particular about soil type as long as it is sharply-draining. Water occasionally to infrequently once established. Deer resistant.
