A woody, evergreen shrub featuring fuzzy, mint-like leaves and fragrant white flowers in late spring and early summer. Native to multiple types of plant communities along the central and southern California coast and the Sierra Foothills, White Pitcher Sage is adaptable to different growing conditions and sun exposures. Will grow in full to part sun. Requires excellent drainage and needs little water once established but will tolerate supplemental water. Cold tolerant to at least -5° F. Pinch back regularly if more compact form desired. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.
