A low, mounding form of Cistus that thrives in both coastal and inland landscapes. Tolerates poor soil, high heat, drought, heavy clay soil, and coastal conditions. Perfect for use on dry slopes and banks or for adding a soft texture to hot inland gardens. In spring and early summer it blooms profusely with delicate, pure white flowers that have a bright yellow spot at the base of each petal. Small, leathery foliage is dark green and deeply textured. Reaches 2 to 3 feet tall and 4 to 6 feet wide. Plant in full sun to light shade inland. Not particular about soil type as long as it is sharply-draining. Water occasionally to infrequently once established. Deer resistan
