Grows naturally along the coast but does remarkably well inland. Although primarily used in restoration and revegetation projects, this species does have landscape appeal due to its wildlife value, particularly with butterflies. Small inflorescences of pinkish white flowers emerge from the notable dark green, attractive foliage. Typically kept at 2-3' x 2-3' in landscape settings and can be nicely refreshed with an annual pruning.
